Don't You Worry

Hello again...it's been a while, but don't you worry.

Speaking of worry, school is back in session, and of course...don't you worry.

Literally.

Don't.

You.

Worry.

Grab your book bags, pens, and pencils, and don't you worry...

I promise the teachers and the students are both humans, just give them a chance.

Don't you worry...

Okay...enough with the "don't you worry's", but you really don't need to.

Getting back into the routine can be difficult at times and that is understandable.  Just stay the course...it will only get better as you move forward.

That being said, make sure you are giving an honest effort while you are moving forward.  This way you can ensure that you are improving throughout the year.

When things go right, try to make them better...

When they go wrong, try to make them better...

Pretty simple, but I must admit it can be challenging at the same time.

Naturally, one of the two suggestions above will be easier then the other, but both are necessary.  You can learn from the good and the bad.  The good is a testament to the work you've done, while the bad is a testament to what you need to get better with...

Don't be afraid to make a mistake...we all have. Quite honestly, anytime I overwhelm myself with trying not to make any mistakes, I generally make more of them.  Crazy how that works, right?

Now that doesn't mean that you should not try; it simply means give your best effort every chance you get and let the work speak for itself.  Your progress depends on it, and the only way to sustain positive progress is by challenging yourself.  Take care of the little things, and let the big things take care of themselves.

There will be tests to take and tests to grade. Some will be academic while others are social. Either way, embrace them.

There will be moments where things feel much more difficult than others.  Those are the times when learning takes place.  If things were always easy, chances are you wouldn't learn anything or get any better.

Like when I don't practice the guitar.  It is very easy to not practice but I won't get any better.

Sorry...that was a random analogy, but it just crossed my mind.  I hope it made sense.

But I really should practice...

Anyway...enjoy your weekend, and don't be too hard on yourself.

Always give your best, be honest with your effort, and most importantly...

Don't you worry...you're doing just fine.

Until next time,

Long Live The People

Peace before everything; I don't want any trouble. I recognize that it has been quite some time since the last post, but have no fear, we are back... Well, not exactly. This post will not have as much

Make the 'Test'

Nothing like a semester break...but now it's back to business. Reading, homework, activities, studying and exams. I have always had an interesting relationship with exams dating back to my early years

Art, music and sports are wonderful activities, but they are not substitutes to academics. Sure, they are compliments to one another, but even the most artistically, musically, and athletically inclin
